Technical Diver Testimonials

what the students have to say

I feel it is always important to get recommendations about the diving Instructor you will put your faith into to help you achieve your goals, ultimately you will never know if it will be the best method of training for you until you have tried it but it does help if you can obtain a little feedback from past students and customers so here is a few I seem to have made happy.

Cave Diving - Another achievement well met

I have been diving actively since 1995, worked as an instructor, owned my own diving school, worked as a commercial diver and trained up to full Tech Trimix. Cave diving had been on my mind for several years and circumstances never allowed me to fulfill this goal.

I found Pro-Tech online when searches about cave dive training near the Philippines, where I reside, and I was really impressed with Mat's diving curriculum. I then proceeded to book from Cavern to full Cave diving in January.

Upon arrival at Protech, I was really impressed with their setup. Having an hyperbaric chamber on-site, nice clean compressor area and a good set of technical diving gear on display boosted my confidence in having made the right choice for my training facility.

It did not take long after I'd met Mat to see that he was a professional with a professional attitude. Super fit, well spoken and knowledgeable. We got along very well and the course had started in a nice way.

After an assessment in the pool to show I had sufficient skills to perform in this new challenging overhead environment, we went off to the remote location of Koh Sock national park to begin training.

I was not disappointed. Even though the cavern and intro cave portion of the course was fundamentals, I learned a lot of new techniques essential for this very dangerous environment. I was also impressed with Mat politely turning down another student whose skills were insufficient for the challenge. How often do you see that?

Overall a great class and I would recommend Matt for serious cave diving in Asia.
